Is Phil playing with No Kids at these shows? Their ms says: NEW NO KIDS (Fall 2009): Julia Chirka, Phil Elverum & Nick Krgovich
Also, does anyone know who's playing with Phil?

first of all, let me say that i know nothing about NO KIDS. at the SLC show, Phil was playing drums for NO KIDS...i know that. as they switched from NO KIDS to MOUNT EERIE, the keyboard players from NO KIDS (Julia and Nick, i suppose) remained. so it was Phil on guitar/vocals, the keyboard players from NO KIDS (Julia and Nick?) and two drummers.
hope that helps.

Just saw the show tonight... very awesome. Phil's pretty sick though, sucks. Hope it's not the swine flu lol Phone Pics: for some reason, this won't load in the forum: img36.imageshack.us/img36/5523/10229195655164417609079.jpgBTW: Nick Krgovich totally looks like Jermaine from Flight of the Conchords

Also, I bought the "bootleg" Mt Eerie stuff...
Phil basically said that some guy just set it up next to the table and has been following them, but then mentioned something about the guy saying something in the van, so I'm just assuming they hired a merch guy with a sense of humor.
So I got the 4 patches and the tape... I'll upload the tape sometime next weekend, but I asked him and he said it's just a recording of the September 25th show... It says Live at Northern on it.

Also the chapbook of drawings of famous directors that No Kids is selling was made by Owen Ashworth of Casiotone for the Painfully Alone.

The show last night was amazing. One of the heaviest things I've seen and heard in a while. Also, it was nice meeting you and Claire, VMWhelan!

just came back from the hamden, ct show. it was great, but unfortunately phil was too sick to play my heart is not at peace, which I was looking forward to hearing. I snagged the last green shirt and one of those ridiculous patches.

Oh forgot to mention I talked to Phil before the show about Song Islands 2. He said it will be mostly the singles as Mount Eerie as well as unreleased stuff for sure, but he hasn't actually started working on it. He did say that he's been thinking for the past few days that it will probably be the next release, as he hasn't started writing anything yet after Wind's Poem.
And I asked about the Last Hit soundtrack. He said it's a lot like Neil Young's for Dead Man. I asked if we'd ever hear it and he seemed unsure if he was gonna put it out, but I mentioned that there's interest out there for it, and he seemed surprised, then said he could maybe put it out digitally, and he'd even consider giving it a vinyl release.

For the people who've already seen shows on this tour, how late would you say they ended? I'm planning on going to the show tomorrow in Boston but I need to figure out if it'll be over before the T stops running.
