Not what I was expecting but it's damn awesome for sure. I kind of thought their might be more wind instruments involved with this album, based on title alone... I haven't listened to any of the recent live boots yet. I miss hearing some saxophone in his records, but I love the epic sound of his recent stuff!

With that release date I wouldn't be surprised to see it at WTHF; it seems like a lot of bands that play there release something at the festival.

Phil's sort of been touring Wind's Poem for awhile. That's a cool thing about Mount Eerie I've found, you hear his new record and go to see him expecting all the familiar songs, and then he just plays a bunch of crazy stuff you've never heard before from an upcoming release, because he's just one step ahead all the time. It's always a pleasant shock, like when I went to see him when Black Wooden came out and it turned out to be his first gig with Julie Doiron and Fred Squire.

I doubt he has any real new stuff besides the wind's poem stuff. When he tours behind big albums I think he plays a good chunk of the new album stuff. It is true though, his song library is always growing. But this time I bet a lot of the tour is actually going to be wind's poem.
