I can't remember which song it is that Phil sings about "a calf shaking in the pasture"... I'm pretty sure that the tentative title was "calf in pasture" at some point, but with the old board gone I'm at a loss. Can someone refresh my memory, and, if you're feeling particularly generous, can you upload/point me in the direction of where I can find any/all bootleg versions of it?

Hmm, I thought I had that but I'm having trouble finding it; maybe I have it mislabeled? I also found one version from the Luminaire '06 show that's labeled "curiosity"...
Wasn't there a show where he talked about what the song meant, or at least talked about the "calf in pasture" and how he got the idea from that Halldor Laxness book, or was that in an interview??

Calf In Pasture is one of my favorite songs, it's a shame that there isn't a studio recording or anything, but maybe it'll be on Wind's Poem? Hopefully.

Ah! I found my CD of that Bergen Landmark show now. It's still not the version I'm looking for, though (if it exists) - where he talks about where he got the idea from. ...I'm starting to wonder if I'm just remembering that story from an actual show I went to; maybe it wasn't recorded after all.
thanks for this, by the way! and that comprehensive list, VMWhelan!

Yeah, that was in a show. It is also one of my favorite songs. Anyone read the book, Independent People?

You don't know which show it was? And I loved that book; I just gave a copy to a friend of mine who is reading it now beside me as I type!
