Hello Hello! It's been a long damn time.
I do a blog, the one this thread is about actually, called THE WRAITH
theseancetwo.blogspot.com/
(forgive the confusing URL, it's a long story)
I am trying as best as I can with it to provide as much Phil information and whatnot as possible. I am going through the releases one by one and doing long posts as comprehensive as I can make them regarding history, recording, release info and everything else. And believe me it's hard. I've got an ongoing discography...
theseancetwo.blogspot.com/2010/11/discography-who-are-you-voice-in.html
...that I think is pretty far reaching at this point. I post zips of mp3s for the real arcane stuff (only a few right now but I've got a lot more coming) and I also mix in a little boring stuff about my personal life, mine and my friends' relationships and experiences with Phil's music etc...
I've got a good running start going but it's been a very long time since I was focused on it. However, having recently seen Mount Eerie play I am feeling renewed vigor.
For those of you that have been to my page before there is finally a new post up. This one is all about the Jimi Sharp Man Of Mystery Cassette, including a zip I made of the whole tape with the tracks actually separated. I've also added about a million things to the discography page and updated a bunch of info on the previous posts I've done.
Anyway the purpose of this post here is not to go on and on about myself. I just wanted to invite all of you to come have a look around and hang out. AND, if you are so inclined, follow the blog (I hate asking people to "follow" my blog, it feels so lame but, in all honesty, it's just that visual stimulus of knowing someone out there cares about what I'm trying to do, it really does gets a person off their butts and back to work), make comments and, more importantly, hit me with some feedback on what I can do to improve or make it more user friendly.
We all know Phil's musical catalog is a large and confusing forest and I am not really any more knowledgeable than anyone else. But this is a labor of love. I'm just trying to put together as much info as I can about everything so if anyone wants to help contribute, make requests or correct anything I've said in error
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do so!
My email is up on the blog, or I check in here as well. Generally it is easier for me to keep up with emails directly to me if you have a question or correction or info about a certain post or release (as opposed to dropping said info in the comments section, its just easy to miss, esp on the older ones where I'm not always thinking to check the comments).
So yeah, this page is for all of us, all of you. I miss the old Preservation Society pages, and while I'm not trying to recreate that I am definitely trying to fill in the void left by their absence. Help me make this page a serious online resource for all us Phil fans.
FRIENDS, TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW!
I know I sound like a huge dork. I apologize.
XO, Brian
