Hey folks, I'm thinking about trying to get some people to collaborate on a Thanksgiving covers album, this is the only place on the net where I know thanksgiving fans go so I thought i'd post here first.. so, anyone up for it? You'd just have to make your track and send it to me, i'll put it all together Regards, Parachute

This sounds really neat. I would be interested in doing "I Am Yours", the 6 new songs version.

a few replies already great! i'm thinking of doing either 'nowhere' or 'stay in spring field', so we have 4 potential contributors so far, I think jumpskins probably knows someone else who would be willing to contribute too, a few more and we'll be set to go I think!

I did a couple Thanksgiving covers in 2008. Warning: I was kind of depressed all the time and pretty obsessed with Thanksgiving and Mount Eerie back then (maybe some of you might remember me from the old boards - remember when we were going to do that The Glow, pt. 2 covers album? What happened to that?) [read: I was pretty into the whole one-take / lo-fi aesthetic, but didn't have Adrian or Phil's talents to pull it off] [[read: these sound terrible]] www.mediafire.com/?p66caar9g74d2g2I'm a little better at music making these days (maybe), and could definitely be convinced to do a cover of one of the AJO tracks if there'd be interest in such a thing.

Hey halcyon,
I just listened to your covers, they're great, this sort of thing would be perfect for a covers album, the quality of the recordings doesn't really matter
Cover whatever song you like, as long as it's by adrian it's welcome (although do remember that most people will probably be doing covers with traditional instruments, anything too electronic might not sit well among the others)
But yeah, halcyon, you should get on board!

I'm glad this thread got brought up again...I've been meaning to contribute a cover for quite a while now. I had tonight off of work so I recorded a couple versions of "Who Makes the Truth" from the "In The World (6 New Songs)" EP. You can download them here: www.mediafire.com/?b94o2b8o2i66yI think I prefer the first version to the second, but whichever you end up using is fine by me.
