Wow, thanks for this! Talk about an under the radar release... I remember a thread on the old forum where someone had emailed Phil about it and he answered along the lines that it would probably never be released, as it was just some improvisations and the film seemed to have completely disappeared from the face of the earth anyway.

yeah, this is 'old news' only in the sense that it brought back memories of the old board and all of us bugging Phil at shows about when this damn was going to come out on, like, a monthly basis. Poor Phil. Awesome find, slownerveaction!

Yes, Dead Man is highly recommended- both the Jim Jarmusch film and the Neil Young soundtrack. The film has some more music that doesn't appear on the soundtrack, such as the opening titles theme on acoustic guitar. Plus a cameo by Iggy Pop in a dress The soundtrack has some things not in the film, like Johnny Depp reading William Blake poems.
