First time poster, long time reader here. As one of the last episodes of my college radio program "Phil Elvrum's Will," which, as you may have guessed, focuses on his music, I asked Phil to join me for a conversation. He generously agreed and was even more generous with the amount of time he gave me. I uploaded the whole thing to Soundcloud: soundcloud.com/oodyboocs/phil-elverum-interview-on-wmuc Apologies in advance for talking too much in the interview. I do recommend listening to or skimming through this interview, though, if you're interested in hearing details that you may not have heard elsewhere, including but not limited to: forthcoming releases of new versions of old songs, a forthcoming tour with Will Oldham, hints about Anacortes Unknown Music Series #3, an expansion on some of the ideas in this great interview thebomberjacket.com/2012/07/10/there-is-no-nature-mount-eerie-under-the-clear-moon-2/, details about the Paper Opera tour and "What Wonder?", and his feelings on the music of Drake and Grouper. Thanks for listening and for compiling some of the information that helped me to conduct this interview.
