Hej there,
I just wondered how the shows were thusfar on the current tour? Saw him + band last night in brussels and it wasn't good at all. the sound was really terrible, songs were shortened and he did not seemed interested at all. It was really disappointing. I'm just curious

Hi, I was there last night and I quite liked it. The sound could have been better but it was mostly the sound engineer's fault for cranking up the volume so loud in such a small room; therefore there was lots of bass and unwanted distortion. This was especially bad at the front just under the stacks; I moved back halfway through the concert and the sound was better.
As for the songs, I really liked the new harmony parts in House Shape and I Say No (which had a killer, doom metal ending replacing the silence it used to end with some years ago). I'm always glad to see Phil live in any incarnation and I actually thought this was one of the best; he's really mastered the 'loud' part of metal - you can't go wrong with two bass players. I don't know about the 'disinterest' part - that's just Phil's stage behaviour, he's not very chatty and Brussels crowds take a while to warm up anyway.

It was the fourth time I've seen him, so I'm familiar with his his 'stage behaviour'.

Your opinion is just as valid as mine skoap, I was just offering my perspective on the show. I'm not trying to say 'no, you should have liked it!' By the way, I recorded most of it with my camera (no video, just audio), so if anyone knows a simple, free way to extract .wav from .mov files I will do that and post the results (I tried googling it but the first 2 solutions I found didn't work and the rest seemed complicated; I have babies so very little time to be online anyway to waste on trial and error).

I was at the Brussels show and liked it a lot. They did have obvious sound problems because of the sound engineer - and I thought it sounded quite better the previous day in Kortrijk - but the double bass + female vocals configuration was awesome.
