My buddy Chris bought it. Fun listen while we googled "corpse paint." He had nothing but good things to say about you.

The latest GHOSTS release is now available on cassette via LOST SOUND TAPES distro. Includes unique recycled wildlife photography artwork, plus a bonus remix by WARREN J. MYLES. Ghosts says: "DRUM LAKES is a collage of GHOSTS recordings made between 2008 and 2009 in wardrobe-sized student bedrooms. Old memories and forgotten songs. Noise loops and imaginary open spaces." Lost Sound Tapes says: "Far out folk music, but not so spaced as to lose its form. Reverb and delay can be your friend. Recommended for fans of early releases by The Microphones." www.lostsoundtapes.com/distro.php#friends

Hey folks, if you like metal... I want to share my little brothers first demo with you all. His name is Sam, he's sixteen, and he wrote this song about a year ago, and just recorded it a few weeks ago. It's a 3 piece band, Sam sings and shares the guitar lead and rhythm. He also designed the, somewhat lame, album cover, ha. He is mega into metal (as you will hear). www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmoP_oHSSIcHe is pretty unhappy with the vocal take but whatever, it's really grown on me. Of course they've gotten mostly negative feedback from internet trolls.

if someone of you might have a second, i'd like to invite you to my music as well. it is basically sad folky music without being that much folky somehow. (sound weird? yeah, it does.) so let's say it is sad music, played with acoustic guitar(s). anyway, would be nice if some of you guys might find the time to check: www.myspace.com/hlynurgudjonssonp.s. i recommend the top 4 songs. they are from my recent tour ep, i prefer the sound of the recording over the older ones. it is very lofi, not done to much "production" with them. btw: maybe someone is interested in this. my first proper album is out for 2 weeks now. you can listen to it on bandcamp if you'd like: gudjonsson.bandcamp.com/

pt78, I listened to your album before going to class this morning. It's very haunting and has a good winter-in-a-temperate-rainforest feel to it. I definitely enjoyed. It sounds like a good mix of Six Organs Admittance and Michael Brook's instrumental score to the movie Into The Wild (both of which are great). Keep recording.

I love that cover, I'm such a sucker for hazy photos like that. And haunting winter music is my favorite kind, so I'm going to have to listen to that sometime soon for sure. I'll let you know what I think of it. I've been working for the past few months on a proper second album which I'm hoping to finish up soon and then hold on to for a bit so I can release it next fall...it sounds kind of fall/winter-ish to my ears since that's when I've made most of it, so it wouldn't feel right to release it just as it's getting warmer. Also I don't want to rush it or anything lke that. Every Saturday night for the past four weeks though (not counting this past weekend) I've recorded myself messing around with a loop pedal for half an hour or so as a little distraction, and I've been posting the results online. I've called the series "Saturday Night Live" since that's what it is I guess. It's nothing I'm taking too seriously but I'm pleased with the way a lot of it came out, although the first one is kind of sloppy. You can hear them here: squanto.bandcamp.com/
