So what 2010 records have you guys been listening to a lot lately?
For me, the new BPB album has been one of my favorites, and the new Beach House is damn good (and I was not a fan of their previous 2). The new Tallest Man on Earth album is really good as well. Also enjoyed the Titus Andronicus record, The Moniter, though I haven't listened to it in a few weeks.
The new Broken Social Scene has been growing on me over the past week, I'm starting to like it more and more with each listen. The new Plants and Animals album, La La Land is growing on me as well, tho I don't see it surpassing their last album.
The new National album, High Violet, leaked yesterday and upon first listen I think it was really good, looking forward to listening to that one a few more times. Also checked out the new Woods album last night and really enjoyed that.
Any other good ones?

My favorites so far, no particular order: The Ruby Suns - Fight Softly (sooo damn good and under-rated) Harlem - Hippies (I like Coomer's songs better than O'Mara's, but they both are great.) Beach Fossils - S/T (I can't stop listening to this, AMAZING!) The Radio Dept. - Clinging to a Scheme PILL WONDER - JUNGLE/SURF (18 minutes of pure bliss.) Small Black – Small Black EP (2009 but it was reissued this year and they have been crushing my speakers all year.) MGMT - Congratulations (Pretty good, but they're still no of Montreal or Starfucker imo) Lil Daggers - King Korpze 7" (They will be big eventually) WAMPIRE - WAMPIRE (Listen to Orchards and you all will know.) Girls in the Eighties - Teenage Royalty (It's like overdosing on heroin on a carnival ride, beautiful) Cults - 7" (I can't wait to hear a full LP from these two.) Beach House - Teen Dream (Great album but the S/T is still my favorite of theirs.) Broken Social Scene - Forgiveness Rock Record (Haven't given it enough listens yet but I do love me some Broken Social Scene.)
I'm looking forward to hearing the new Born Ruffians album, I'm sure they will destroy Vampire Weekend again. of Montreal's False Priest/The Controller Sphere will most likely be my favorite album of the year can anyone but Phil Elverum top Kevin Barnes' genius???

haven't found myself too much i really enjoyed. only the guanaco lp 'sky burials' works quite fine for me. it's some kind of "postrock-folk". really strange somehow. folk picking on a nylon string guitar (electric guitar highlights go with that) and some with atmospheric/"droney"-samples underneath. a good record.

+1 for The Monitor as well. It's pretty incredible.

Sky Burials is great; if you like it you might also like FNS, which you can stream here. Some of my favorites so far, in no order: Minamo - DureeSam Amidon - I See the SignBonnie Prince Billy & The Cairo Gang - The Wonder Show of the WorldMark Sultan - $Paul Cary - Ghost of a ManThese New Puritans - HiddenNana Grizol - RuthNatural Snow Buildings - The Centauri AgentThe Tallest Man on Earth - The Wild HuntForest Swords - Dagger PathsMasayoshi Fujita & Jan Jelinek - Bird, Lake, ObjectsDonnacha Costello - Before We Say GoodbyeThis is just out of what I've heard and know well enough to judge, except for the Donnacha Costello, which I've only listened to once so far, but I plan on listening to it much more soon because it made a great first impression.

My favorites of the year so far:
Tallest Man On Earth - the Wild Hunt Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me
The National, Minus the Bear and Band of Horses just leaked. So far the National sounds good, new Minus the Bear is super disappointing, and I haven't got a chance to listen to Band of Horses yet.

I like it more than Ys but I literally played Ys out, so that could be part of the reason.

I want to listen to the new Joanna, but I just haven't found the time yet. You will need a lot of free time to finish it, plus bathroom breaks.

Yeah, it took me weeks to find time to listen to the new Natural Snow Buildings, and that one's only an hour and 45 minutes.
Two of the albums I posted (Paul Cary and Natural Snow Buildings) were released as free downloads also, so I edited those links into my post. I highly recommend both of them...the Paul Cary album is raw-as-hell garage blues, and Natural Snow Buildings make gorgeous drone/folk music.
