That's too bad. The film had an intriguing plot, but as long as the music will be released sometime in the future, I'll be happy.

If it's not a priority it's probably not amazing or something he is excited about releasing. I am happy this is a compilation of familiar songs.

When I talked to him about the Last Hit he seemed surprised that people were interested. After I told him about the hype, he said maybe he would consider putting it up for digital download or MAYBE eventually on vinyl. He described it as similar to Neil Young's Dead Man soundtrack. Just a lot of aimless guitar noodling. Maybe if people email him about it again, it'll get back into his head. i'm interested because Neil's improv over that film was excellent. i doubt it's the same caliber, thus the delay?

"does it miss obvious released 'rarities' ?" i hoped that "let's get out of the world" (or "fuck the world" or "i belong in the world" - i do actually not know how the song called. i've seen the track named several ways) would be on it. that one is my most favourite rarity. also missing his songs on the David Shrigly compilation. i would imagine he'll eventually release 2 songs/7 songs/white stag/last hit in some vinyl fashion. as stand alone projects, i'm sure they'd sell with no problem. he's just been on the road too much.

what is The Last Hit actually about? not an answer: this movie was done by an amateur filmmaker. now the director records music in toronto, and isn't too concerned with a release of any kind. youtube videos have wider distribution than this movie will ever see. it's probably what you'd expect from a film school grad: black and white shots of eggs in an umbrella on a coney island boardwalk with dudes walking around shirtless with ties during the middle of winter, or something.

I really like that Adrian sings on "Thanksgiving". Y'know, 'cause his band was called Thanksgiving, and stuff. hehe.
