A guide to new Mount Eerie songs played live in 2012, by starting line:
'if I look and if I don't look' - The Place I Live 'Misunderstood and disillusioned' - Through the Trees pt.2 'Watching the light change' - The Place Lives 'Lost in a fog - clear moon' - Clear Moon 'Pale lights from other islands' - ? 'one voice heard low across the water, through ocean roar' - Ocean Roar 'I stayed inside all morning' - House Shape 'I imagined a clear bell echoing' - Lone Bell 'it was all a dream' - To the Ground (thanks ohitsbrandon!) 'the world was frozen' - ?
Has anyone got hold of setlists? Any help with the missing titles would be appreciated. There are also the new songs Distorted Cymbals and World Heaves (starts with 'I look to the north') but these don't seem to have been played in concert (WH was only played acoustically at Cafe Irie).

In Paris he had mostly 'Wind's Poem' stuff on display (CDs, the US and the European version as well as vinyl), Dawn the book, Mt Eerie parts etc photo book, Genevieve and Karl EP. But there was a big box of vinyl stuff so I wouldn't rule out some Lost Wisdom being in there.

When I saw Phil on the Winds Poem tour he gave me a copy of lost wisdom for cheap as I didn't have enough cash on me, what a guy!

the show on Saturday was really great... and i was overwhelmed by seeing phil for the first time. i hope he'll be back in Germany to tour his new records later this year. i'd really like to see a headlining show by phil... the 30 minutes just went by way too quickly.
the lost wisdom lp's were already sold out for the tour though. but well, i'll order from his website then.

People not hearing of Earth is insane. Personally loved them. I saw Earth on their tour before this one without Phil and twice with Phil. Think it's awesome that Karl Blau is now part of the Earth line up. Strongest lineup that band has had in years. Phil compliments them well.
People have heard of Sunn O))) right? Sunn O))) started out as an Earth tribute band. True story.

People have heard of Sunn O))) right? Sunn O))) started out as an Earth tribute band. True story. This true? That's nuts dude! From Wikipedia: "Sunn O))) is named after the Sunn amplifier brand, whose logo includes a circle next to the "SUNN" banner with waves heading off to the right (the band uses this logo in the cover art of many releases); In interviews, Stephen O'Malley stated that the name was also chosen as a play on the name of the band Earth, pioneers of drone music throughout the 1990s, reasoning that Sunn O))) revolved around Earth. Before the band members moved to Los Angeles, the duo briefly used the moniker Mars." But yeah, I've read in a variety of places that Sunn O))) basically formed around trying to imitate and reinterpret the sound on Earth's early records. It sucks that people were bored at the shows. I can understand that, but they've basically taken stoner metal to a completely different zone. They don't play with all the distortion pedals and ridiculously low tunings anymore, but it kicks just as much ass in my opinion. Seriously love the current output and lineup of that band. Amazing.

yeah, Earth rules. I've heard that about Sunn O))) before too but I also read in an interview once that when they started out their goal was basically just to get ridiculously high and play riffs as slow and loud as they could hahah

Earth are pretty sick. When I found out that Karl Blau worked with them, I thought that was pretty interesting.
Anyone see The Hive Dwellers during their tour this year? Managed to see them with The Curious Mystery in Buffalo, and it was pretty cool.
