www.urbanhonking.com/supercal/2009/04/phil_elverum_in_residence_whit.html"From March 30 to April 4, 2009, musician and artist Phil Elverum (aka Mount Eerie, aka The Microphones) will wander the tunnels, corridors, and stairwells of UO's White Stag block, recording and composing a new album to be called "White Stag." Elverum's residency is a project of the UO's School of Architecture and Allied Arts's Publication Studio, run by writer and publisher Matthew Stadler. Between April 27 and May 1, 2009, Elverum will be back at UO White Stag to work with interested students in the Publication Studio designing, producing, and then releasing the book and CD object, "White Stag." The public is invited to a concert and conversation on Saturday, May 2nd at 7 pm, at White Stag. Phil will premiere the new piece. "

No, it's cool, this deserves its own thread anyway! Once it comes out, it will be bunch more convenient to update this thread than to assume that everyone knows to look halfway through the Wind's Poem anticipation thread. I'm curious about this, but I can't say I'm not worried. My favorite stuff by Phil tends to be the albums where he spends months and months laboring over it, not the ones that he records live or in 2-3 day sessions. Maybe this one will change my mind, though.

Downloaded it earlier and immediately bought it, can't wait to get my copy. I really hope it gets the vinyl treatment as well.
