Ordered and DLed. It's rough but I very much love it. The first lines on Origin had me engrossed for the rest.

i predict that White Stag is going to be the new Seven New Songs... Sounds more like "One New Song" to me... But I got both as well

I really love "(Summoning)" into "Quiet Echoes"!
Brilliant segue.

absolutely love it. i think the whole thing works so well as a sonic exploration of that space. and the myth he develops works as well. spooky and dirty like a dug up artifact.... such a great recording! can't wait to see the packaging.

I was extremely excited for this, but I have to say it let me down a little. It's good, like most everything Phil does, but nothing on it really stands out to me.

I could see many people being disappointed due to the way the piece is all about a certain "sound" as opposed to 10 stand alone songs. Certainly, songwriting takes a back seat here but i think he's trying to reconnect with the ambiance he developed with earlier works after Mount Eerie has been so song-focused for years. For me, I really dig the 'eerie' atmospherics.

Parts of this reminded me of oh-so-early microphones.

Have you seen this? pwelverumandsun.com/images/ELV021poster.jpgI assume that will be part of the packaging.

just got it today! it's pretty big and folded in an interesting way. for someone that can't fold paper maps, this'll just a bit of work to get back in original form.... really like it.

yeah, that was a really interesting interview to read... the first part with the program organizer is skimmable, but the phil Q&A is essential.
really interesting. i've never seen questions so in depth. it generated some good responses. thanks!
