I am newer to these boards and while most information is phenomenal to find, often find discussions on here intrusive. This post, given her recent passing, adds to that invasiveness. None the less I share this video because it strikes me so deeply. I am unsure if I will post on here again, as I feel the mere existence of this forum is "anti-Phil" ... but I will always be sinning. I will always check these boards. Here is a link to January 25th video of D+ ft Geneviève. (Apologies if this has been shared before) m.youtube.com/watch?v=wSaDKaQYZM8

To begin: thank you for posting that video. I hadn't seen it before.
I do have a question, though: what exactly makes the forum "anti-Phil" in your eyes? It's not like a *chan or anything, discussion here is very light and direct.
Personally, I feel that, at this point, Phil has achieved somewhat of a mythology thanks to the combination of his particular influences, his somewhat-reclusive nature, and the glut of music he has created and how it has been distributed. I think that, in that way, a small forum is nice for fans to talk amongst themselves, sharing various encounters with fans (like you did with the muscle-tank shirt in another thread) or when new albums get teased. Hype talk can be contained without being drowned out by other things on other sites. I mean... where else would you have been able to share that video that means something to you without it just being scrolled past?
Of course, far be it for me to tell you how to live your life or anything of the such. I'm simply curious.

Thanks for the video! I've always liked this forum, it's very slow moving, which I enjoy, sometimes there's no new posts for months but always eventually someone will post something small and stur up some activity. You have to think, Phil/Mount Eerie has a fair amount of fans but not a super large following, and the number of people that want to discuss it on the internet is even smaller.
