thank you a lot for your nice words about my music. i really appreciate that you took the time to have a listen. i decided to upload the current tour ep to mediafire, so feel free to grab it there and pass the link around if you should know anyone who might enjoy it: www.mediafire.com/?tj2zjhxljjy actually i think i'll be going back to Brussels soon. i talked to a booker from another venue that was interested in having me this December. it is not confirmed yet, but i'll get back to her as soon as the current tour is finished. (but i might move the date to feb2010) i am curious to her your songs as well. at the moment i don't have a sound system at this computer, but i will check soon. and once again: thank you for listening!

MY TURN MY TURN! www.mediafire.com/?4mo3nij2ty0ACTUALLY: I wrote it the song, but I have no musical or lyrical skill. So I composed it with my best friend and he performed and sang it for me, as he really dug it too. We had to record this on my computer using the internal mic (sound recorder) in a library auditorium, and we want to keep add a few more layers but cant right now. This is the rough cut, though we wanted to go for the lo-fi feel anyway. I wrote this a while ago, though THIS version is slightly different as the original was a poem. Its called Shades Of Blue. Hope you enjoy. ******** On the old MEPS board I posted the original poem and it was suggested I make it into a song. You may remember.....

My friend and I make a recording/publishing club called Deep Madder, under which we release a few things: A zine called Deep Madder Monthly, a radio (podcast) show called Deep Madder Radio, and music that I make under the name Lanterns. It's mostly about being sensitive and feeling alienated and the introspection and (potential) intimacy that ensues.

i do music under my real name, kind of seeing whether that's a viable thing to do 'full time'. anyway there's a real vein of phil running through it, perhaps. amongst other things. there's www.myspace.com/rowancoupland anyway. some more music for download if anyone is interested. p.s. i supported phil and he said it was 'good' or something but was probably being polite
