New in the upcoming section:
ELV027- “Clear Moon/Ocean Roar condensed versions†by Mount Eerie (Sept. 2012)â€
My guess is this will be just one album with just the songs (ie the 'something's left out).

Or Ocean Roar is going to be so big and weird that it needs condensing.

I think it might be all the songs from the two albums played simultaneously as one track. Phil mentioned doing this in the Pithfork interview, so maybe.

Blue Duck is probably right since it's a 7" single.

Blue Duck is probably right since it's a 7" single. True, I hadn't seen that it's a 7. Cool!

Thanks for that! Looks like 'Pale Lights' is the equivalent of 'House Shape' - a song that sounded great in a stripped-down live version and becomes something else, elastic, driven, and loud in the recorded version. Here's a great recording of it from this spring's tour in Lyon: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZZOuXwA780I asked the owners of the site for the entire concert recording (which is quite slick), Phil agreed, but I'm still waiting for it. I'll post it as soon as it's available (unless they post it themselves on archive.org, which is where it should end up anyway). And here is the beautiful 'I Walked Home Beholding': www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gXK3U37qu4

Thanks for that link. Definitely quirky - Pale Lights is 10 minutes long, 'Ancient Times' is 1 minute (this seems to be the song he described in an interview as being made up of recordings of children playing in a schoolyard), and the two instrumentals are almost 6 minutes and 7 minutes long, respectively. The first instrumental sounds a bit like renaissance music

i placed my order as well. i am always a bit frustrated when buying stuff directly from the US as the shipping costs are so damn high. (ocean roar 15USD, shipping to Germany 16.50USD.) but well... i am too excited to hear ocean roar and don't want to wait a couple of weeks longer until a german mailorder offers it.
