Does anyone know the deal with this? Apparently it was released over a month ago, but I've yet to see it o PWE&S or Secretly Canadian (Tomlab's U.S. distribution site). I really dig the updated "11 Old Songs" vibe of this (and Clear Moon). It'd be nice to own the thing. pwelverumandsun.bandcamp.com/album/alphabet-series-7Anyway, one thing that we used to do on the old board that was really great was help each other out with tour-only/difficult-to-obtain merchandise. I live in Portland and will probably be at one of the shows there in June (the other night Oren Ambarchi & Mamiffer are playing, and god knows one can't miss that). If he has the Tomlab 7"s and if someone on this board would want me to pick one up for him or her, let me know and we can figure out the specifics through paypal afterwards (just face value + cost of shipping, of course). Stop singing, (that's what I'd like to say to my upstairs neighbors, anyway),morgan

Hey there, wish i'd seen this in a timely manner because I would have loved for you to grab me one. I've actually been wondering and researching the same thing since it went up on the PW site.
Have you had any luck? Did he have them at the show? Would love to know at the very least.
Also I'd like to say that, as an avid Phil fan who is constantly in fear of missing out on some small thing that comes and goes, I really appreciate what you're suggesting here. Not only is it a really nice courteous thing to do it also really goes a long way towards making this feel more like a "community".
Thanks for the good vibes sir.

I think this is only out in digital form, the actual physical 7" hasn't been released yet. It's not even on the 'Alphabet Series' page (http://www.tomlab.de/front/index.php?action=releases¤t=0&release_action=series&textonly=&start=0&series=alphabet) yet. And they weren't on sale during the European tour either.

hey thesearmoires: I'm not sure what time zone you're in, but here on the West Coast, June is still many days off! Never fear! Dry your tears! So that's one extra that I will be picking up if they're available (though I agree with wolfticketsden that they likely won't be). And no worries; I had the favor paid to me by a fellow board member when I got one of those nifty green evil fog Mount Eerie shirts back in 2005 (if only I hadn't lost it in a move...)

ha, I was pretty sure that was you, but my memory for screennames isn't the best. I'm pretty sure the shirt's at my mom's house in Nevada in one of the boxes that hasn't made it up to my tiny apartment in Portland yet. Thanks again for that!

hot damn - what a show. Not that any of you were going to skip out on a Mount Eerie show for- I don't know, Taco Tuesdays or something, but seriously: don't miss this. Holy shit. Got daym. Killed it. Unfortunately, he did not have his Tomlab 7"s (apparently they haven't been printed yet), though he did have Key Losers' imprint from the same series.
In terms of unexpected new schwag, he had some killer tour posters (specifically for this NW leg of the tour) featuring a bunch of foggy 'clear moon'-type photos--a la the big lint-collecting book--for $15. He also had these totally sweet $2 'posters' printed on newspaper that were apparently designed by the second guitarist, who was totally rocking the Stevie Ray Vaughan (you had to be there).

Update on the physical release of the Tomlab single: I wrote them and they replied
'this 7 inch will be officially sold through TOMLAB only once the complete alphabet series boxset is available - I forsee that this will happen toward the end of 2012.'.

Hey, these came and went on the PW Elverum site a few weeks back. Not sure what's up with TOMLAB dragging their feet. Maybe that's a repress?

On Discogs I found this info 'Limited edition of 300 copies. Follow-up to the Tomlab Alphabet Singles Series.', I didn't expect it to sell out so quickly on pwelv. My guess is that they printed them, sent some over to Phil (a dozen? couple of dozen?) who sold them, and the rest of them are still waiting to be put up for sale. I was waiting for them to be put on sale by Tomlab since I live in Europe, but there's been nothing on their website, so I wrote them that email to ask (I thought maybe they'd sold out like on pwelv). From what I can guess, they a) either will be included in this box set that I know nothing about, and the ones left over will be sold separately, or b) they won't be part of the box set at all but will be sold only once the box set is out.
