hey everyone, i know it is the time to talk about wind's poem now and i will do soon. (but i'm still looking for words to describe the way i feel about it) but there is a thing i was wondering about. on the web there is this picture from the lost wisdom sessions: forcefieldpr.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/mounterie.jpgso, seeing this picture you might think they recorded this album live into only one microphone. does anybody know if this might be true? i mean - of course there are some overdubs here and there (2 melodies by julie appearing at the same time for example) - but the rest, might it be possible that it was recorded the way that the picture shows? (i mean - it could be a picture from demo takes as well.) i'm asking because i really like the sound of this record and i am wondering how this atmosphere might have been created. [feel free to post any other stuff concerning this record into this thread as well. therefor i did not specified the title.]

I'm pretty sure it was recorded like that. It was only recorded in a few days before Julie and Phil went on tour.

There's no real liner notes on the LP. Just the lyrics underneath the flaming home.

They recorded it with one microphone. I don't remember which interview said that but I'm fairly sure.

'Lost Wisdom' and 'Black Wooden' feel like companion records, capturing a live collaboration idea in a room with one microphone in order to preserve the moment, like on 'Singers'.
